About Mehdavia Community of Sydney

For many years our Mehdavi brothers living in Sydney have initiated the movement to join all mehdavi brothers in a great cause to form Mehdavia Community. Though our Mehdavia history goes far beyond year 2008 in Sydney, but, it will be remembered as a very important year in history of Mehdavia Community of Sydney. A foundation to build a recognised Mehdavia Community was laid by very passionate brothers. Alhamdulillah!
2008 was also the year which saw Dugana Lailatul Qadr ba jamaat gathering (of around 60 attendees) in Sydney under the imamat of Hz Peer O Murshid Sarfaraz Miyan Qibla. And again, in year 2009 under the imamat Hzt Roohi Khundmiri Miyan Qibla, son of Hzt Peer O Murshid Abid Khundmiri Qibla - Alhamdulillah!
Years passed, and the flame to keep our Mehdavi brothers united remained. The Ramadan Taraveeh gatherings continued at South Parade, Auburn and then in Chisolhm Rd, Auburn for many years. Our brothers felt the need to do more for our community brothers, this marked beginning of our weekly Deeni Ijtema gatherings on Clarke St, Berala. May Allah give great rewards to all our brothers who have given their residence for such gatherings, and everyone who’ve volunteered in any way for the sake of Allah SWT.
Fast forward a few years, team changed but the vision remained. May Allah keep all of us steadfast in keeping our iman firm and help each other as a strong community. Alhamdulillah finally the day most of us envisioned came true on 19th April, 2019. Mehdavia Community of Sydney was registered with Fair Trading NSW, Australia.
This opened the door for many possibilities to what we can be as a united religious community. It also provides an opportunity to next generation of Mehdavis in Australia who can be proud to be part of. In sha Allah!

Since the registration, MCSI successfully opened its' door to our very own community musallah in Feb 2020. Most of our community brothers took benefit of community Musallah in the blessed month of Ramadan. We have seen five times of prayers ba jamaat, community gatherings, jalsa events and much more in our community Musallah.
Alhamdulillah we have come a long way from the first ever Dugana gathering of just over 50 members in 2008 to 250 in year 2020 shows we have grown many folds as a community. May Allah keep us grow in numbers and keep us firm on our faith.
We expect the numbers will grow larger as more and more of our Mehdavi brothers arrive in Sydney and as our next generation grow older. Thus, we need the support of you, every Mehdavi living in Sydney, to join us in a noble mission to grow our community stronger. You can contribute by volunteering, or giving your time in our events as support, or financially.
